Janet Stokes has proven that she knows how to help her clients make each day count. Every year, Janet accompanies her client, Robert, to the Warrior’s Day Parade at the CNE. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the parade was cancelled, but that didn’t stop Janet. If Robert couldn’t go to the parade, Janet would bring the parade to Robert! It was an amazing event with the serenade of a lone bag piper, drummers, a colour party, military vehicles and members from 2 branches of the legion. Robert rode in a military jeep in his own parade. Dozen lined the streets to honour Robert and other veterans, in an event that Robert and the rest of us will never forget.
Janet exemplifies The Care Company’s values. She is a role model for all of us. She always gives her best to her clients and makes a real plan for Robert, even for when she is not going to be with him. There have been other major events, like a birthday parade, trips to the zoo, dressing up for Halloween and pumpkin carving. Everyday, Robert and Janet’s other clients are living life to the fullest!
