  • What if my loved one balks at the idea of a caregiver? This is actually quite common. It can feel threatening to one’s independence to bring a caregiver into the home for the first time. It can also bring about feelings of denial that help is needed. We have found that a good way to introduce a caregiver is by starting with one or two types of care that would be especially appealing, such as light housekeeping and meals. How nice it is to have someone change the bed linens, tidy up the home, and prepare dinner, too! Once an individual realizes the benefits of home care and is comfortable with their caregiver, they are often open to adding additional services.

  • Will the caregiver do things the way we would like them to be done? Absolutely! We are never there to come in and take over. We listen to and follow your directions and ensure tasks are done to your liking.

  • What if we don’t like the caregiver you provide? Our caregiver matching process means considering the individual’s personality, likes/dislikes, interests, and more, typically resulting in a fast and lasting bond between the two. However, if for any reason you would prefer a different caregiver, we will send a replacement – no questions asked. We aim to ensure your loved one is completely happy with their caregiver and that you have the peace of mind you need and deserve to step away from your care duties.

  • How soon can services begin? We can schedule your in-home consultation at your convenience, and once we’ve prepared your customized plan of care, services can begin immediately.

  • Will we have the same caregiver for every visit? Consistency and continuity are always one of our top goals. We strive to provide you with the same caregiver as often as possible. However, there are times when a caregiver is ill or unavailable during the time your family member needs care. In those instances, we will provide an equally skilled and qualified caregiver.

  • Do you only provide respite care services for the elderly? We’re here to help anyone of any age who needs support to remain safe at home! We offer special needs care for children and adults, specialized dementia care, and end-of-life care, to name a few.
